BIO

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), License number LCS24539. I received my Masters degree in clinical social work from Smith College School for Social Work.

Over the past 16 years I've worked as a psychotherapist and social worker in private practice as well as at agencies which serve our community. My experience also includes work in a hospital and in a residential treatment facility. I've worked with adolescents and young adults learning to manage the transition to adulthood, couples struggling to stay together, people finding meaning in life as they discover an HIV diagnosis, even people finding a sense of peace and acceptance as they face loss and grief. I have also worked for many years in the LGBTQQI community helping people to explore their sexual orientation and gender identity.

Through these experiences, I have acquired both breadth and depth as a therapist, understanding the importance of respecting each person's life experiences, personal struggles, and recognizing the strengths and resilience that each person brings to life, though at times these resources may be hidden.
